How can I recover deleted files (with shift-del)

When a file is deleted from your computer, its contents aren't immediately destroyed. Windows simply marks the hard drive space as being available for use by changing one character in the file table. If you manage to start an undelete process before Windows overwrites that part of hard disk with new files. You can set that flag back to "on" and get your file.

As I know, you can download some free recovery software as follow to recover deleted files.
Note:Stop using the current disk as main disk, please keep it unchangeable before recovering the files.

.: Panda Recovery

Pandora Recovery actually recovers files permanently removed from Recycle Bin, files originally deleted using Shift + Delete keys bypassing Recycle Bin and files deleted from DOS prompt. Pandora Recovery allows you to find and recover recoverable deleted files from NTFS-formatted volumes, regardless of their type - you can recover pictures, songs, movies or documents. Setup file is 2.12 MB in size. For more information, please visit the link or get it straight away.

.:TOKIWA Data Recovery

DataRecovery is freeware and written by TOKIWA to undelete accidentally deleted files even from recycle bin. It supports FAT12, FAT16, FAT32 and NTFS undeletion. Even in both NTFS compressed files and EFS encrypted files. Zip file is only 198 KB in size, no installation required and it’s portable.

iOS 5 vs. Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich vs. Windows Phone 7.5 Mango

The next iPhone is now official and it will be rocking some new software but Apple’s competitors have been doing some great things over the last few years. In this comparison post, ‘stuff’ is the three major mobile operating systems – iOS 5, Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich and Windows Phone 7.5 Mango – and it is their feature-list which is compared by redmondpie.

Conclusion

Each of the three major platforms offer its own advantages and drawbacks. Apple’s iOS is very simple to use, has a robust app ecosystem that is growing larger by the day but it’s essentially Apple’s way or the highway. You could argue that Microsoft’s Windows Phone Mango is the most visually-appealing of all the platforms but its device and app ecosystem leave something to be desired. Google’s Android is extremely customizable and powerful but fragmentation is still an issue.

Activate Widows 7

Now the first thing its not like that you install the windows and you get 1 Year free license at every 29th day of the month you have to Run a command to make it 1 extend 1 month genuine trial pack. So stop doing unnecessary work and do something real without a crack !

Step 1:
Simply install Genuine Windows 7 without entering any Fake or Pirated Product Keys.

Step 2:
Now when Windows is installed and trial is going to be over simply open CMD as an administrator and type the below command exactly into it and click enter.
slmgr -rearm

Mind the space !Don't forget it !

Now after doing this something will Pop-up like command completed successfully restart system restart the system and you will get 30 days back that’s purely genuine. Now This trick is valid only for 4 months means that you can run this command only 4 Times to get 30 days trial back, so we are going to mod this trial times and extend them to 8 times means valid 360 days genuine Windows 7 Trial pack. So now go to RUN and type regedit to open the default Windows Registry Editor. After you have opened it you will see the registry editor having 5 main folder we are going to navigate to the specific folder and we are going to modify a value.

Step 3:
Fiddle with the registry!

You have to navigate to above folder as mentioned in the image and then double click on SkipRearm.
Now you have to change the Value from 0 to 1 to extend the times you can reset the Windows 7 Trial Pack like below image

Congrats! You have activated windows 7 Without a crack !Get Windows 8 this time  only @ HackUpdated :)

Type screen for iPad !

One of the criticisms of iPads is that they're not easy to type on the screen. All right, the practical keyboard is here, although it's a little on the small side, and lacks any sort of tactile feedback to let users be familiar with their finger tapings have registered. Despite the fact that there are Bluetooth keyboards that iPadders can pay for, there's now a little else that offers what must definitely be the ultimate in tactile feedback – the manual typewriter-inspired Type screen.

Users just slide their iPad or iPad 2 into the Type screen's carriage, and then begin hitting away on its old school keys. As with a manual typewriter, an individual arm will fly up with every keystroke. While those arms would strike an ink-containing ribbon on a typewriter, on the Type screen they actually press the individual keys on the iPad's virtual keyboard – it would be interesting to know if the arms always connect with the right keys.

It's absolutely suggestive of a little amazing that was featured last June, called the USB Typewriter. The device can be ordered or made at home from plans, and is essentially a Frankensteined-up existing manual typewriter that is wired into the USB port of an iPad, smartphone or device of your choice. From there, it simply acts as a clickity-clackity retro keyboard.

The Typescreen is made by Britain's Spinning Hat, and the company is only making a limited number of the devices. It's priced at GBP 35, or about US$57.

Install Windows 8 As a Virtual Machine with VirtualBox

Ready for more ?

Windows 8 Developer Preview requires a clean install. If you don’t want to wipe your computer or install Windows 8 on a separate partition or drive, you should consider installing Windows 8 as a Virtual Machine (VM.)

To run Windows 8 Developer Preview as a virtual machine, I recommend using VirtualBox as your host.

So How to ?
Install Virtual Box & Set up Windows 8 VM
Install Windows 8 in Virtual Box
Requirements
Oracle VM VirtualBox
Windows 8 Developer Preview ISO file (32-bit or 64-bit)
Windows Live ID (for best testing experience, sign up here if you don’t have one)
Internet Connection (for best testing experience)

Besides that, also make sure that your computer has the Virtualization Technology (VT-x/AMD-V) activated in the BIOS. Proceed to the installation if you are ready with everything.
Install VirtualBox & Set up Windows 8 VM

Step 1:
 Download VirtualBox and install it.

Open VirtualBox and click New.

Go through the wizard to create a new Virtual Machine. Below screenshot shows the parameter used for the virtual machine. Do note that the minimum requirement of RAM for  Windows 8 is 1GB for 32-bit and 2GB for 64-bit.

Now Virtual Machine is ready.
Step 2:
Once the virtual machine is ready, click Settings and start modifying the settings in order to install Windows 8 Developer Preview. All the screenshot below shows the settings that I used during the setup.
System

Storage

This part might be tricky. By default, the VDI file generated will be mounted as a SATA HDD. However, if it is treated as a SATA HDD, Windows 8 will not be able to initiate the installation and BSOD (A very cute one) occurs. So the workaround is to mount the VDI file under the IDE controller, this way Windows 8 Developer Preview install perfectly.

Also under Storage, mount the ISO file containing Windows 8 Developer Preview that you just downloaded.

Once everything is set, start installing Windows 8! The installation process is pretty much similar to the one in Windows 7, so nothing much to cover there. When Windows 8 started up, you will need to enter your Windows Live ID and password.

It is worth noting that the guest addition for VirtualBox doesn’t work in Windows 8, therefore the resolution of the virtual machine is limited.

Other famous Virtual Machine software such as VMWare and Windows Virtual PC are not able to install Windows 8 Developer Preview at the moment. So if you are really interested to try it out, follow our guide to install it, and let us know your opinion on Windows 8.

Windows 8 Features

We don’t know much about Windows 8 features yet, but we know what Microsoft is working on.
However, I have researched all features that Microsoft is currently working on. Of course we don’t know if Microsoft will indeed add those features to the final build of Windows 8 in 2011/2012.

Windows 8 Features: Highest Chance For Implementation

New Filesystem
App Store / Windows 8 Apps
Kinect Rapid Login-In
Will Run on ARM (CONFIRMED)
Cloud support
3D Desktop
Reset To Factory Default

Windows 8 Features: High Chance For Implementation

Windows 8 Features with a good chance for integration / or already confirmed features:

History Vault
DSFR (New Storage technology:Distributed File System Replication storage file system) = Faster File Access
Support for one way replication
Cluster Support
Dramatic performance improvements
Hibernate/Resume Integration API, which will be used in Windows 8 replacing Windows Vista’s Xpress compression engine.
PatchGuard Improvement = More Secure x64 Environment
New user interface framework = More beautiful Windows 8 Interface
Improved Download Experience
Improved Remote Desktop Client and Protocol
More Windows 8 features haven’t been revealed yet. Overall, I would say that Microsoft is working on some big things. A new file system, enhanced security and a new GUI sound really good so far, what else should they be working on?

Although there are many features that are really useful, there are also features that are totally useless. I hope they focus on the important features and not on the Hibernation and Download features :P
